Welcome to 2008! This year Pre1 will be delivering a monthly newsletter providing information about our company, our software and how to use it most effectively. In order to serve you better, we may be asking your input on our support, our features and what improvements we may provide to you next. After all, SmartPublisher™ is being written for you, the user, so you should be in control.

Development Powerhouse Joins Pre1

In December, Jeff Hough joined Pre1 to head up our software development team. Jeff has more than 16 years of experience with FileMaker Pro. For the past nine years, he has driven the design and development of several custom and shrink-wrap solutions built with FileMaker Pro for clients based in Oregon, Idaho and Nevada. He has instructed at FileMaker Development Conferences and contributed articles to FileMaker Advisor magazine. Now Jeff brings his skills and experience to Pre1.

Tip of the Month

Start the new year off by updating your list of current issues! No matter how many issues you have configured in your database, your current issues may not be set to "Show" on the lists used for ad scheduling and reporting.

To check the status of your current issues, select the Setup Issues link from the administrative main menu. Look for the column labeled "Show" and make sure the current and future issues are filled in. Uncheck those no longer in use for ad scheduling. The list shown during reporting and ad scheduling will reflect the issues you've selected.

Note that issues not set to show are still searchable by using their dates and volume and issue numbers.
